Do you want to work in a small charity with a brilliant, passionate team? Due to one of our team members leaving the charity to further her education, we have taken the opportunity to reshape some of our roles.  We are now recruiting someone to work closely with our Operations Manager in our Shipley office to provide general office and finance support.

Post:  Finance & Administration Coordinator

Based at: Shipley, West Yorkshire.  This role may include some national travel, as well as travel to other parts of the UK for team meetings or to support our events.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £23,000

Contract: Permanent, candidates must have evidence of their right to work in the UK.

Responsible to: The Operations Manager

This is a generalist role that would suit someone who is flexible, who likes people, who thrives on variety and who enjoys finding solutions for things.  Working with a small team to provide a full range of financial and administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient organisation and delivery of our charitable aims.

You will bring:

  • Proven track record of working in a busy office environment, multitasking and having a passion and drive to join us in making a difference.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and reconciliation in a computerised accounting system.
  • Empathy for others and an inclusive mindset.
  • Very organised and an eye for detail.
  • Have a ‘compassionate’ attitude to phone calls, emails and queries.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable to suggest ideas and solutions.
  • Enjoys working in a team.
  • Strong ICT skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to effectively prioritise tasks.

Desirable

  • Experience of using QuickBooks
  • A bookkeeping qualification, or partly qualified.
  • Two years of previous administrative experience.
  • Knowledge or understanding of alopecia and the psychosocial impact that it can have.
  • Experience of project work.
  • Experience of working in a small charity or small business.
